2017 Honda Ridgeline Review – Pinellas Park, FL

 Performance

The Ridgeline is a great combination of power and comfort. The new model is much more traditionally truck-based with higher-strength steel for a tougher exterior body. The 2017 Honda Ridgeline doesn't necessarily match bigger trucks for pulling and hauling, but excels for its ride and handling. Adapted from the Pilot, the Ridgeline's powertrain is rated at 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. With the new power-to-weight ratio slightly more in its favor, the Ridgeline is quicker and the sound of its V6 is pleasing without being too loud. Also much improved with the 2017 model is the Ridgeline's fuel economy. It is now quite comparable at 19/26 mpg*.

 Interior

Here's where the Ridgeline's comfort comes in! With two rows of comfortable seating, plentiful storage cubbies, and a relatively manageable size, the Honda Ridgeline is a viable option as a great family vehicle. While the cabin provides sedan-like comfort, the cargo bed easily transports things like camping gear or lawn supplies.

 Features

One of the most innovative and just plain coolest tech upgrades in the Ridgeline turns the entire bed into an audio system. You can play music from any source or control remotely with a Bluetooth enabled device. Another awesome feature of the truck bed is the hidden trunk you can keep items safe and out of sight in the large and lockable trunk situated within the bed of the truck. Or fill it with ice and it becomes an easy-to-empty cooler, thanks to the trunk’s drain plug. Also, in addition to the traditional fold-down function for the tailgate, it also opens sideways for easier access to the bed.

 Safety

All Ridgelines come standard with a multi-angle rearview camera that toggles through a variety of views, hill-start assist, and Bluetooth technology. We also offer a multitude of other safety options for the Ridgeline including adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, parking sensors, and a side-view camera for maximum visibility. For the family element of the vehicle, there are front and rear head airbags, dual front side-mounted airbags, child seat anchors, rear door child locks, and rear center 3-point belt.
