Gas or Hybrid, You Pick the Powertrain

The 2021 CR-V comes in two trims with gas engines—the LX and Special Edition—that give you the option of All-Wheel Drive (AWD). Three higher trim levels—the EX, EX-L, and Touring—come with the option of gasoline or hybrid powertrains, with AWD standard on the CR-V hybrids and available on the models with gasoline-powered drivetrains.

The non-hybrid CR-V models are powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with 190 horsepower, 179 lb-ft of torque, and a Continuously Variable Transmission. These front-wheel drive-equipped CR-Vs have an excellent 28-34-30 mpg city/highway/combined fuel rating.

The three hybrid powertrains come equipped with a 3-Mode Drive System that includes ECON mode—to optimize fuel efficiency, Sport mode—for sharpened response and more thrills, and EV mode for electric-only propulsion.
